ALLEN FRIZZELL a.k.a ~the other brother Allen was born into a family rich in Country Music tradition. Since the early 1950’s the Frizzell brothers have been prominent on the music charts as artist and songwriters, having songs recorded by George Jones , Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Keith Whitely and even pop artist Jewel. Allen the youngest brother in this legendary family his eldest brother being the legend Lefty Frizzell. Lefty a prolific artist & songwriter hall of famer, also known as the most influential vocalist of all time in Country Music. Grammy nominated, ACM & CMA award winner as well as two time song of the year honors is brother David Frizzell. In January of 2013 the Frizzell brother's Allen, David & Lefty will have recorded, written, and published hit song's in every decade since the 1950's, on the Pop music chart's the Country music chart's and the Christian country music charts. Allen helping carry the torch for the past 30 year's.
Like Lefty & David, Allen is more than a great vocalist, Allen truly captures the emotion of a song. He is also a talented musician and an outstanding songwriter earning BMI’s prestigious million-air performance award. BMI’s official recognition of achievement in American Music.
Allen started out on his musical journey at the age of nineteen. He started out with brother David singing and playing the guitar he later joined up with big brother Lefty for a brief tour. After touring with both brothers Allen soon realized he should be doing his own thing musically. He had recently become a Christian and felt the call to sing Gospel music. He proudly put together a little three-piece band they worked a couple of places but went no where fast. It was at that point he began following in his older brother’s footsteps singing Country Music. He assembled his own band and began working the West Coast. It soon paid off! Allen opened a show for Dottie West who impressed with his talent insist that he move to Nashville and work for her opening her show. After almost a year of Dottie’s persistence and right timing Allen finally got the courage to make the move. He took her up on the offer, touring with some of the biggest names in the business. Nashville has been Allen's home now for over thirty years.
Allen wrote a billboard #1 song. Recorded for Sound Factory ,CMS, ABC-Dot/MCA and SONY records. Appearing on T.V shows like, Johnny Carson , That Nashville Music , Nashville Now, Hee Haw , Don Kirshner, You Can Be A Star (as celebrity judge), New Country appearing with Keith Whitley , Crook & Chase , Country Sportsman and Music City Tonight.
